In The Lindquist Group client archives, history is etched in an elegant hand. Here you’ll find work inquiries, even personal notes of thanks and commendation from the likes of Roosevelt, Carnegie, Rockefeller and Ford. From 1890 onward, these illustrious men and women—giants of industry, great patrons of the arts, the doyennes of culture and society—trusted our founding partners for all their domestic staffing needs.
Indeed, our New York, Greenwich and Palm Beach offices, originally founded as the Mrs. A.E. Johnson Employment Agency in 1890, the Lindquist Employment Agency in 1926 and the Reimer Employment Agency in 1932 respectively, are among the nation’s oldest domestic staffing firms.
While we rarely place parlor maids, footmen or ladies’ maids today, we continue to serve America’s finest families. We count among our clients the great, great grandchildren of those innovators and society-makers who shaped our country. And while we are honor-bound to protect their identities, you have our assurance that you’re in good company with them and with us.
